Carol Marin is a senior faculty fellow and co-founder, alongside former producer Don Moseley, of the DePaul University Center for Journalism Integrity & Excellence.
Her distinguished television career includes serving as a correspondent for CBS News, contributing to 60 Minutes II, 60 Minutes, and the CBS Evening News. She also anchored prime-time newscasts for WMAQ-TV and WBBM-TV in Chicago.
Marin’s reporting has earned some of journalism’s highest honors, including the 2014 George Polk Award for her Chicago Sun-Times investigation into the death of David Koschman. She is a three-time George Foster Peabody Award recipient for her work at NBC and CBS, and has received two Alfred I. duPont–Columbia Awards for investigative reporting, along with two National Emmys and a Gracie Award.
She holds honorary doctorates from Catholic Theological Union, DePaul University, Calumet College of St. Joseph, and Illinois College.
While widely recognized for her political reporting, much of Marin’s work has focused on exposing public corruption and organized crime.
