Sister Cindy Langlois, CJ died at age 78 on June 18, 2026 at Smith Village in Chicago after 31 years in religious life.
Cindy entered the Congregation of Jesus (formerly IBVM) a woman of many talents. Cindy worked as a Computer Analyst and Quality Assurance Manager before entering. After Canonical year, Cindy worked with Maryville Academy and Mercy Home for Girls and Boys. In 2018, Cindy joined the Archivist team for the Congregation and loved the
historical nature of the work.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Antoinette Langlois. She is survived by her siblings Sandra (Robert) Beaster, Ramona (Michael) Lipinski, and Diane (Raymond) Schroeder, her cousins Rosemarie (Frank) Granato and Frank (Lenore) Arvia, and her special friend, Judy Wolthausen.
Sr. Cindy’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Franciscan’s Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. Visitation and Remembrance 9:00-9:45 am. Mass at 10:00 am, followed by burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 1109 Warrenville Rd, Wheaton IL 60187. Lunch will follow at Coopers Corner, 27W150 Roosevelt Rd, Winfield, IL 60190.

I remember Cindy from many years ago. She was a sweet, kind, and wonderful lady.
